From Friday 18 to Sunday 20th November, the charms and delights of France are coming to South Yarra, for the eighth annual Paris to Provence French Festival. And RT Edgar is once again, proud to be a Silver Sponsor of this ever-popular event.
The stunning springtime gardens of the iconic Como House will set the scene for all the colours, aromas, flavours and music of a romantic French village. Naturally wine, champagne and French cuisine will take centre stage, as the perfect complement to a lively programme which includes traditional French dancing in the form of la soiree musette, a tantalising French marketplace of food, fashion and luxury treats, and inspiration from Australia’s finest French chefs at ‘My French Kitchen’.
For young Francophiles, Le Grand Récré is the place to be, with a full weekend of fun activities from arts and craft to storytelling, ballet classes and even an animal nursery. Of course, given Paris’s famed reputation as the city of romance, the festival is playing matchmaker by casting a little Parisian magic at the Singles Speed Dating + Wine Soiree, where spring love is sure to blossom as eligible Aussies and Frenchies mingle under a white marquee at twilight.
Arguably, the most important fashion event of the year (surely eclipsing the Fashion in the Field and the Melbourne Fashion Festival) will be 2017 French Bulldog France-y Dress Party. It is the blue-ribbon event for all French Bulldog A-listers, but tickets to this exclusive function are limited to 15 Frenchies at both Friday and Saturday’s events.
The packed weekend of ‘Francofun’ will also include home decorating demonstrations, wine masterclasses, live entertainment, competitions, and of course the best of French cinema, art, photography, couture and design.
